The Prefectorial Board

Education prepares children for their future roles as responsible and compassionate citizens, and the Student Council serves as an important platform that enables them to actively participate in a structured partnership with teachers, peers, and the school management. A school that nurtures leadership and responsibility in its students ensures that its core values continue to inspire generations to come.

At Happy Hours School, students are encouraged to take up leadership roles through the Prefectorial Board, fostering confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of service. The Council comprises deserving students from Grades X–XII who are selected on the basis of merit, leadership qualities, and commitment to the school ethos. With various designated roles across academics, co-curricular activities, sports, discipline, and student welfare, these positions are far more than ceremonial titles. The prefects actively contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the school and serve as role models for their peers.

The Investiture Ceremony marks the beginning of a meaningful journey of leadership, responsibility, and accountability for the members of the Prefectorial Board. Entrusted with various roles and responsibilities, the office bearers are empowered to develop confidence, decision-making abilities, teamwork, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Working closely with the four houses — Ajit House, Hanwant House, Sardar House, and Umaid House — they foster a spirit of healthy competition, collaboration, discipline, and camaraderie, thereby strengthening the vibrant fabric of the school community while inspiring their peers to lead with integrity and purpose.

Reflections of Leadership

School Captain

Being School Captain here has been less about the badge and more about the people. This place challenged my quietest doubts and turned them into confidence. Between chaotic events, unexpected lessons, and constant support, I found my strength. What I leave with isn’t just memories, but a sense of belonging from a school where I’ve spent some of my happiest hours—one that let me grow at my own pace, stumble without fear or judgment, and slowly become someone I’m proud to recognise. It gave me space to be unsure, to learn, to lead imperfectly, and still feel valued—and that, more than anything, is what I’ll carry with me.

-VATSALA SHARMA

School Vice Captain

I began my journey at this school when I was only five and a half years old. Having been here for ten years now, it truly feels like a second home to me. The teachers, friends, and staff are effortlessly fabulous, always encouraging and guiding us towards the right path. I, Siddhi Tiwari, am incredibly grateful to my parents for paving a path of success by enrolling me in the amazing world of HHS. This school has given me countless opportunities to grow, explore, and fulfil my potential in various fields. This journey—from being a first grader to becoming the School Vice Captain in Grade XI—has been truly unique. It was unlike a journey at any ordinary school because of how much I have grown and enhanced my skills here. The credit for me becoming the School Vice Captain belongs not only to my own efforts but also to the entire school for making me capable of this role. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I promise all my mentors, authorities, and friends that I will bring honour and pride to our school.

-SIDDHI TIWARI

Sports Captain

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the school for selecting me as the Sports Captain. It is truly an honour and a proud moment for me to receive this responsibility from such a respected institution. Sports have always been an important part of my life, and being chosen for this role motivates me to work even harder for the school. Becoming the Sports Captain was something I had always aspired to achieve. Sports have taught me many valuable lessons. As the Sports Captain, I promise to lead with discipline, dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I will do my best to encourage every student to actively participate in sports and uphold the spirit of unity and fair play. Thank you once again to Happy Hours School for believing in me and giving me this wonderful opportunity. I will always strive to make the school proud.

-MOHIT SONI

Cultural Captain

When I first came to this school four years ago, I was a complete outsider. I knew no one and was very new to this environment. I remained in my shell for most of my time here, and it wasn’t until I entered Grade XI that I started to open up and try new things. That was when I finally gathered enough courage to apply for the position of School Cultural Captain, and once I achieved it, I never looked back. Being the Cultural Captain has changed me tremendously for the better. It transformed the way I viewed my teachers and peers and helped me realise how much effort goes into every activity hosted by this school. It also gave me immense respect for my teachers and Principal. This role has entrusted me with many responsibilities and duties that have improved my confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities, and much more. It is because of this role that I have become a better student of Happy Hours School. If given the opportunity, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I hope to bring about meaningful changes in this school before my time here comes to an end and honour the institution for all the opportunities it has given me.

-ADITI KACHHWAHA

Umaid House Captain

Being appointed as the Captain of Umaid House is truly an honour and a moment of immense pride for me. I feel extremely grateful to have been entrusted with such a responsible and prestigious position. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I consider it not only a title but also a commitment towards my house, my team, and my school. I am determined to fulfil all my duties with sincerity, dedication, and discipline. As the Captain of Umaid House, I will always strive to motivate my fellow house members, encourage teamwork, maintain house spirit, and lead by example. I believe leadership is about responsibility, unity, and inspiring others to give their best. I proudly accept this role and promise to carry out my responsibilities dutifully while upholding the values and reputation of Umaid House.

-KHANTI JAIN

Sardar House Captain

Becoming a student captain would have been unimaginable for my 12-year-old self. Yet today, I stand honoured with this position, and I owe it to my teachers, parents, friends, and well-wishers, who supported and believed in my potential even before I did. Working previously with multiple houses gave me the opportunity to interact with different kinds of people, which helped me further develop my social skills. These experiences also taught me to work with flexibility and impartiality and to remain completely devoted to a common goal without letting personal opinions interfere with the group I worked with. I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I stand as a student leader, looking forward to a thrilling school life that will teach me lessons beyond books. I aspire to lead in a way that makes HHS a place where psychological safety, mutual support, and meaningful competition can exist without judgment or suppression. With a mission that is deeply personal to me, I seek to understand and guide students into becoming leaders of their own lives, as reflected in my favourite saying about leadership: “Good leaders are the ones who leave behind more leaders.”

-DARSHITA PARIHAR

Hanwant House Captain

Representing Hanwant House as House Captain at Happy Hours School is a meaningful responsibility. With Hanwant House currently holding the first rank, this journey has been both motivating and rewarding. The school provides excellent opportunities for students to develop leadership, discipline, confidence, and teamwork through academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The constant support and encouragement from our teachers inspire us to strive for excellence and uphold the values of our house with pride, legacy, and responsibility.

-MANJEET CHARAN

Ajit House Captain

“Before I wore the captain’s badge, I saw Ajit House as a team; today, I know it as a heartbeat. Stepping into this leadership role did not just change my school experience—it completely shattered my limits and redefined who I am. Leading this golden house has been an extraordinary masterclass in empathy, unity, and the raw power of unyielding valour. True leadership, I discovered, lives in the quiet moments of motivation—igniting a spark in a hesitant teammate, turning collective doubt into absolute focus, and breathing life into our ethos: ‘Valour in Action, Triumph in Spirit.’ Bound by this courage, we proved that we do not back down. The ultimate validation of our grit came on the field during the football match. Leading the team through every intense play, tactical pass, and decisive goal culminated in a magnificent first-place victory. Seeing our sea of yellow erupt in celebration was pure magic. As I look ahead to our graduating year of 2026–27, I know this role demanded my absolute best, and in return, it gave me a family. I leave this position deeply humbled, infinitely stronger, and fiercely proud to have anchored the unstoppable, victorious force that is Ajit House.”
